Preparing for a return to public gatherings
When we return fully to public worship, we will need to have the contact details of everyone who attends. Members and regular worshippers are requested to fill out their updated details in the form linked below. This will not only update our records, but also mean that you can just tick a box when you return to worship, rather than writing out your contact details each time you attend.
This form collects general household information and then asks you to fill in details for each person in the household.

A WORD FROM OUR CONGREGATION'S CHAIR

On behalf of the St Marks Church Council and Admin team I wish to thank all members,
for their encouragement to our Pastors, Delia, Annette and others in the ministry team.
Your financial generosity via the internet.
Your continued prayers on behalf of St Marks community.
Your mutual support of each other in various ways.
Please bear in mind St Marks Early Learning Centre is continuing to operate and needs prayer support.
Miriam needs prayer support as she seeks ways to touch families via online Mainly Music activities.
Please remember school Chappies especially across the road as schools recommence to capacity.
The return to full worship is sometime away yet and will be in a format not entirely the same as when we stopped so that common sense, LCA/LCAQD and government advice can be implemented.
The congregational half year meeting will happen when circumstances allow that to happen.
In particular on your behalf I thank our Pastors Matt and Charlie for their service during this most challenging and exhausting time.
We are blessed.

We begin
I will ask the Father, and he will give you another Counsellor,
the Spirit of truth to be with you forever. Alleluia!
In the name of the Father and of the Son † and of the Holy Spirit.
Amen.
Confession and Declaration of Grace
Let us draw near to God our Father with a true heart to confess our sins, and ask him in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ to forgive us.
Almighty God, our maker and redeemer,
we confess to you that by nature we are sinful and unclean,
and that we have sinned against you by thought, word, and deed.
Therefore, we flee for refuge to your infinite mercy
and plead for your grace for the sake of our Lord Jesus Christ.
Almighty God, our heavenly Father, has had mercy on us, and has given his only Son to die for us, and for his sake forgives us all our sins. To those who believe in his name he has given the right to become children of God, and has given them his Holy Spirit. Whoever believes and is baptised will be saved. Grant this, Lord, to us all.
Amen.

Christ is alive! Let Christians sing.
His cross stands empty to the sky.
Let streets and homes with praises ring.
His love in death shall never die.
Chris is alive! No longer bound
To distant years in Palestine,
He comes to claim the here and now
And dwell in every place and time.
Not throned afar, remotely high,
Untouched, unmoved by human pains,
But daily, in the midst of life,
Our Savior in the Godhead reigns.
In every insult, rift, and war,
Where color, scorn, or wealth divide,
He suffers still, yet loves the more,
And lives, though ever crucified.
Christ is alive, and comes to bring
Good news to this and every age,
Till earth and all creation ring
With joy, with justice, love and praise.

Verse 1
There is now a hope that lasts beyond our days
For the One that once was buried lives again
Now the tomb is bare and empty
And the stone is rolled away
Praise the risen One who overcame the grave
Verse 2
All you broken hearted all you worn and weak
Come find living water everlasting streams
To the wandering spirit
Lost and searching wanting something more
Find the risen King who overcomes the world
Chorus
Let there be dancing in the darkness
And let our song break through the night
Lift your voice and sing that Christ is King
For Jesus is alive
Verse 3
No more condemnation no more doubt and fear
For our sin and shame they have no power here
In His resurrection
Perfect love has set the captives free
Praise the risen King who stands in victory
Chorus x2
Let there be dancing in the darkness
And let our song break through the night
Lift your voice and sing that Christ is King
For Jesus is alive
Bridge
Hallelujah death is undone
Hallelujah Jesus has won
Hallelujah we overcome
Oh in Jesus oh in Jesus

We Prepare to Hear God’s Word
Let us pray …
Almighty and merciful God,
you send your Holy Spirit
to be the light and life of all your people.
Open our hearts to receive his riches,
so that we may produce the fruit of the Spirit
in love and joy and peace.
We ask this through your Son,
Jesus Christ our Lord,
who lives and reigns
with you and the Holy Spirit,
one God, now and forever. Amen.

Activity & Reflection
Have you helped someone else this week? What did you help them with? Who can think of some ways we can help others this week? Get a piece of paper and a pencil. Trace your hand. In each finger (or around your handprint) write some ways you want to help your family or other people this week.
Jesus calls the Holy Spirit our helper. What does the Holy Spirit help us to do?
Then think of one person to pray for this week and put their name on your paper too. Pray that God will fill them with the Holy Spirit to have faith.
PRAYER: Jesus, you are Lord of our hearts, help us to be gentle and respectful of others so they see you alive in us. Amen.
Hymn Through all the changing scenes of life

1 Through all the changing scenes of life,
In trouble and in joy,
The praises of my God shall still
My heart and tongue employ.
2 Of His deliverance I will boast,
Till all that are distressed
From my example comfort take,
And charm their griefs to rest.
3 O magnify the Lord with me,
With me exalt His name:
When in distress to Him I called,
He to my rescue came.
4 The hosts of God encamp around
The dwellings of the just;
Deliverance He affords to all
Who on His succour trust.
5 O make but trial of His love;
Experience will decide
How blest are they, and only they,
Who in His truth confide.
6 Fear Him, ye saints, and you will then
Have nothing else to fear:
Make you His service your delight,
Your wants shall be His care.

Your will be done, my God and Father
As in heaven, so on earth
My heart is drawn to self-exalting
Help me seek Your kingdom first
As Jesus walked, so I shall walk
Held by Your same unchanging love
Be still my soul, O lift your voice and pray:
‘Father, not my will but Yours be done.’
How in that Garden he persisted
I may never fully know
The fearful weight of true obedience
It was held by him alone
What wondrous faith, to bear that cross!
To bear my sin, what wondrous love!
My hope was sure, when there my Saviour prayed:
‘Father, not my will but Yours be done.’
When I am lost, when I am broken
In the night of fear and doubt
Still I will trust in my good Father
Yes, to one great King I bow!
As Jesus rose, so I shall rise
In ransomed glory at the throne
My heart restored
With all your saints I sing:
‘Father, not my will but Yours be done!’
As we go forth, our God and Father
Lead us daily in the fight
That all the world might see Your glory
And Your Name be lifted high
And in this Name we overcome
For You shall see us safely home
Now as your church, we lift our voice and pray:
‘Father, not my will but Yours be done!’
And in this Name we overcome
For You shall see us safely home
Now as your church, we lift our voice and pray:
‘Father, not my will but Yours be done!’
‘Father, not my will but Yours be done!’ (X2)
